Shetland Sheepdog Puppies
The Shetland sheepdog is a lovely dog breed. It is often referred to as the Sheltie. They are small to medium sized dogs that were bred initially to work as herding dogs. They come in a range of colors including sable, tri color and blue merle. This dog is highly considered by most people because of it is willingness to please its master. The history of the San Diego Shetland sheepdog puppies is vague. However, the breed is believed to have originated from the small species of the King Charles spaniel and the Scottish collie. Description

The muzzle tapers slightly from the ears towards the nose. It has a slight stop. The teeth make a level bite. The nose is black in color. The eyes are almond in shape and dark in color. In the blue merle coat, it is possible to find the blue eyes. The ears are small and erect and have tips that fold forward. The neck of the breed is arched and very muscular. The tail is long and feathered and is normally carried down or with a slight upward curve. The dewclaws are often removed.

The outer coat is straight and harsh whereas the undercoat is soft and tight. The main coat colors are blue merle, sable and black. There may be various amounts of white or tan on the coat.

It is alert and docile and has a very pleasant temperament. Most people consider it for a family pet because it is affectionate, loving and loyal to the family. All in all, it is important to note that the dog needs a home where the humans are consistent and confident pack leaders else it will develop behavioral problems.
