Description

The neck is muscular and has abundant dewlap. The tail is long, set high and is thicker at its base and tapers to some point. On the front legs, the dewclaws are often removed. The face of the dog is shaggy and has bushy eyebrows. The coat has all the hound colors which include grizzle or the wheaten with some black markings.

Some lines are prone to hip dysplasia, hemophilia, bloat and thrombocytopenia. You should refrain from overfeeding as this dog gains weight fast. Elbow dysplasia is also a minor concern.
