    Harrier Puppies

The Harrier is a cute looking medium sized dog breed. It was initially bred to hunt hares by trailing. In appearance, it resembles the English foxhound but it is smaller. This is a great choice for any person looking for an energetic and good looking pet.

    Description

In appearance, the Harrier puppies San Diego are sturdy and muscular. They have a short sleek coat and are large boned. Their large bone supports their stamina and gives them adequate strength to perform out in the field. They are slightly longer than they are tall. Their top-line is level and they carry their tail high without curling. The ears of the Harrier are pendent and round. The nose is black in color and wide. The eyes are hazel or brown in color. Their teeth make a level bite.

As aforementioned, the coat of the Harrier puppy San Diego is short but quite thick. The coat is shiny and very easy to groom. It comes in a range of colors. The tri-color of tan, black and white is the most common. You may also find combinations of white & lemon, and white & red.

    Temperament

The Harrier puppies San Diego are playful dogs. They are very energetic and have a great stamina. They love attention but do not demand it. They will enjoy a belly rub from anyone. They also love to curl up on the feet of the owner after a long day. The breed is good with kids and can be trusted with children from another family. They are also happy when around other dogs.

Being initially bred as hunting dogs, they are pretty energetic and will require daily vigorous exercises if being used as house pets. They need exercising to be both healthy and fit. Their size makes them ideal for apartment life. They are best suited in a home that has a large yard where they can run up and down.

Considering their playfulness, the Harrier puppy San Diego will always be stubborn and challenging to train. They, however, grasp hunting commands fast. They will need firm leadership else they will run amok. Training should be concluded in short sessions. Do not use harsh tones.
