    The Gordon setter is a large dog breed. It belongs to the setter family which includes the English setter and the Irish setter. This dog breed is classified as being part of the gundog or the sporting group. The breed was initially used for hunting game-birds.     Appearance

    The San Diego Gordon setter puppy is also known as a black & tans. It has a black coat with distinctive marking of mahogany or chestnut colors on the lower legs, paws, throat, vents and muzzle.
