German Shorthaired Pointer Puppies
The German shorthaired pointer is a dog breed that was developed in the 19th century in Germany. It was initially bred for hunting. It is well adapted for its original purpose. It is streamlined and powerful with strong legs that enable it to move swiftly. Its ears are floppy and set high on the head. The muzzle is both broad and long and pretty strong. This enables it to retrieve heavy game easily. Its profile is strong or straight Roman nosed. Its eyes are brown with the darker eyes being more desirable. The tail is usually docked though this practice is prohibited in a number of countries. The dog has webbed feet just like all German pointers.
