Cocker Spaniel Puppies
This dog belongs to two breeds: the English Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel. The two breeds are called Cocker Spaniel or Cockers. The breed was initially bred as a hunting dog in the UK (Eurasian Woodcock). However, after the breed got to the US, it was bred for a completely different standard. This was done to enable it hunt the American Woodcock. The first mention of the Cocker Spaniel was by Gaston III of Fox-Beam in the 14th century. The breed is believed to have originated from Spain.

The English breed is taller and has a narrow head.
Appearance
