The Cardigan Welsh corgi puppy is also known as the Cardigan or the CWC or the Cardi. This is one of the oldest herding breed. Their country of origin is thought to be Wales about 3,000 years ago. Their name (Cor gi) translates to a dwarf dog or a gathering dog. The descendants of the breed are thought to be in the Teckle family. The breed was later crossed with Collie for the traditional colors. Originally, the Cardigan Welsh corgi puppies were used as guard and hunting dogs. They were trained to drive cattle. Appearance
