The face is best described as having a pushed-in nose.

    Appearance

The Bulldog puppies have a wide head paired with wide shoulders and thick folds of skin on the brow. The eyes are wide-set and are rounded and black in color. The muzzle is short and has skin folds above the nose. The dog also has hanging skin under its neck. The lips are drooping and the teeth pointed. A San Diego bulldog puppy will make an under bite.

The coat is short and sleek and comes in different colors which include red, white, fawn, piebald and brindle. The tail of the bull dog puppies San Diego is naturally short and it can be screwed or straight. The tail is never docked or cut.

    Temperament

The bulldog puppies are usually tractable and docile despite their expression. Over short distances, they can move very fast. They are suited for the apartment life because they do not require a lot of exercises. They are generally friendly. They hold one of the lowest ranking in relation to intelligence. All in all, a San Diego bulldog should never be aggressive or vicious. It should be courageous and resolute. The aggressive nature of the breed has significantly been reduced by the breeders.

    Health

    Care

Considering the health issues the breed is prone to, it is wise to make appointments with the vet for frequent examination. This will help prevent the worsening of problems that might subsequently lead to death.

Because of the big head of the San Diego Bulldog puppy, the heads often get lodged in the birth canal during birth. Consequently, delivery is done by Cesarean section.

The breed does not require rigorous exercises. However, you need to take it out for a walk at least once a day. The dog also enjoys chasing a ball in the yard. This will give him the exercise he needs to be jolly. Failure to exercise can lead to weight gain which is the primary cause of lung and heart problems.

Another important thing to do is ensure that you keep him clean. The folds have to be cleaned daily in order to avoid infections which result from moisture accumulation. The curly tail should also be cleaned.

Lastly, you need to understand that bulldog puppies are sensitive to heat. Caution should be taken when walking them outdoors during summer. They need shade and water.
