    Bull Terrier Puppies

    Just as the name depicts, the Bull Terrier belongs in the terrier family. The breed is known for its large egg-shaped head and triangular eyes. For its size, the breed is extremely powerful. It ranks first in the pound-for-pound lean muscle tissue dogs. There is a smaller version of the Bull Terrier puppies which is known as the Miniature Bull Terrier.

    Appearance

    The most distinctive feature of the San Diego Bull Terrier puppies is the large sized head which is egg shaped. The top of the dog’s skull is almost flat. The nostrils are well developed and have a nose that is black in color and bent downwards at the tip. The triangular eyes are also distinctive in the breed and are small in size, dark and usually deep set. The body is generally full and pretty muscular. The tail is normally carried horizontally. The general color of the Bull Terrier puppies San Diego is white. The dog has a jaunty gait walk which gives it the nickname ‘The Gladiator of the Canine Race’.

    Temperament

They are generally courageous, active, fearless, clownish and scrappy. The breed has a strong prey instinct and can easily cause death or injury to other animals such as cats. However, when brought up in the company of other house pets and well socialized, the breed can get well with other animals. All in all, they should never be completely trusted with animals.

    Health

    All San Diego Bull Terrier puppies must be checked for deafness. This is a problem that occurs in over 20% of the white dogs. Skin allergies are also common in the Bull Terrier. Proper pest control should be done. Frequent vet appointments are also recommended.

    Care

    The most important care is that of training and socializing the breed from an early age. Failure to train and socialize can make the dog both aggressive and unresponsive. They can also become overprotective. By socializing them with other pets from an early age, they will be able to live together seamlessly. Daily exercises are also recommended. This will not only make the dog happy but also improve its health. The short hair of the Bull Terrier puppy San Diego requires minimal effort in grooming.
