    Borzoi Puppies

When it comes to shape, the Borzoi resembles the Greyhound. Its head is narrow and slightly domed. The muzzle is long and somewhat arched. The teeth are level and make a scissor bite. It has a large nose which is black. The eyes are dark and have a slant. The ears are small and normally lay back on the Borzoi puppies head. Its back line is slightly arched upward. The chest is narrow and deep.

The fore legs of the San Diego Borzoi puppy are straight. The tail is carried low and is curved. The breed’s coat is long and wavy, silky and flat. The neck, tail and hindquarter’s hair is longer than that on other parts. The breed comes in an assortment of color combinations. The most popular colors include white, tan, black, and gray with dark markings. It is also possible to find puppies with a solid golden or golden with other mixed colors.

    Temperament

The Borzoi puppies San Diego are generally sweet and intelligent. They are usually loyal and proud in the family. The breed is normally affectionate with the people it is familiar with and a bit distant with strangers. They are trainable and excel in obedience. However, in spite of their being trainable, it is important to note that the Borzoi puppies are hounds and will always tend to think independently and be unwilling to please. They are, however, intelligent and learn easily.

When it comes to training, the San Diego Borzoi puppy needs both gentleness and consistency. The owner must also display natural authority and set house rules. Failure to do this can lead to the development of undesirable traits such as defying orders.

The Borzoi puppies San Diego are cat-like. They strive to keep themselves clean by licking. They are also quiet dogs and rarely bark. Being hounds, they have minimal territorial instincts. They should never be trusted off leash for they have a tendency to run off or chase small animals.

The San Diego Borzoi puppy relates well with other dogs. However, supervision is required when dealing with non-canine house pets like birds and hamsters. Proper socialization is also required to prevent the aggressive and reserved natures. The dog does well with children but needs supervision when playing with younger kids since it does not take rough play well.

    Health Concerns

    • Bloat
    • Sensitive to many drugs

    Care

When growing up, your Borzoi puppies will need high nutritional diet. This is required for better health and strength. Second, you need to train your puppies early. Socialization is also recommended. In feeding, spread the meals out into smaller meals through the day. This will help prevent bloating.

When sufficiently exercised, they will do well in apartments. Always take them for long daily walks so as to shed the excess natural energy. You should, however, keep them on a leash when outdoors. Regular vet appointments will also help.

Frequent brushing with a bristle brush is recommended when it comes to grooming. The Borzois are seasonal heavy shedders.
