    Anatolian Shepherd Puppies

Anatolian Shepherd is known for its large size, ruggedness and its being a great livestock guardian. The breed looks more like the Great Pyrenees and Kuvasz though it is more agile and slender. The rounded large head is in good proportion with the body. The muzzle is black in color and rectangular. The lips of the Anatolian Shepherd puppy are black and hang somewhat down. The dewlap of the lips should, however, not be extreme. The teeth, on the other hand, make a scissor bite.  The ears, which are triangular in shape, should not go higher than the head’s plane. The ears are rounded at the tip and are more often than not black.

In all San Diego Anatolian Shepherd puppies, the eyes are medium sized, set apart and are usually dark brown and almond in shape. The eye rims are black in all dogs. This is in exception of dogs with the liver colors. The neck of the breed is thick and slightly arched. The tail is long and reaches the hocks. It curls upward when relaxed. When it comes to gaiting, both the wheel and low carriage is accepted. The breed with the wheel carriage is more preferred in show rings.

The Anatolian Shepherd puppies San Diego have a double coat. The coat is fawn with black masks. However, all the color markings and patterns are acceptable. The coat is normally long around the tail and collar. The length of the Anatolian Shepherd puppy’s hair will depend on its lineage or season. The two coat types are medium long and medium length.
